New Way Out

is dedicated to three crucial mental health issues:

Severe Mental Illness

The New Way Out is committed to addressing serious mental illnesses, specifically targeting the 4% of adults over 18 who suffer from severe conditions like schizophrenia and treatment-resistant bipolar disorder. Unlike other organizations that cater to the broader 20% of people with any mental health condition, no matter how mild, we concentrate our efforts on assisting those with the most critical needs.

Addictions

With the rising digital age, one of New Way Out's core missions is to reduce addiction – whether it’s social media addiction or substance abuse, like alcohol or fentanyl. Through resources, treatment education, and intentional community engagement, we aim to foster lasting recovery and healthier lives.

Advocating for

Policy Change

While mental health advocacy has gained momentum, there is still much to be done to educate Californians about available resources and drive policy change. New Way Out seeks to build a robust network of advocates within California colleges and universities, empowering students to champion mental health awareness and drive systemic change at both local and state levels.

Resources + Support

Prioritizing Mental Health Starts Now
Mental health is an invaluable aspect of our overall well-being, deserving as much attention and care as our physical health. Just as we seek medical help when our bodies falter, it is crucial to acknowledge that our minds may also require on-going support.

Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, or any other mental health struggle, you are not alone. We strive to connect individuals in need with the vital resources they require. From helplines staffed with empathetic professionals to online support groups, New Way Out offers a wide range of services tailored to meet your specific circumstances.
